Vermont Manufacturing, Education and Economic Development leaders tour The Manufacturing Collaborative

On February 2, Vermont Lt. Governor John Rodgers joined leaders from across Vermont’s manufacturing, education and economic development ecosystem as part of an open house at The Manufacturing Collaborative, Vermont’s Advanced Manufacturing Center in Randolph Center.

In addition to the Lt. Governor, guests included Elizabeth Mauch, Chancellor, Vermont State Colleges System; David Bergh, President, Vermont State University; Littleton Tyler, Chief Business Officer, Vermont State University; Lyle Jepson, Commissioner, Vermont Department of Economic Development; Nick Grimley, Deputy Commissioner, Vermont Department of Economic Development and Erika Hoffman-Kiess, Executive Director, Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation.

Also welcoming the day’s guests were Vermont State University professors John Kidder and Jeremy Cornwall, along with student technicians Gabe Hill, Isabella DeCandio and Fraser Pierpont.  The event was led by Dave Newton, the Collaborative’s Operations Manager, and included a facility tour with engineers Ian Barker, Paul Dana and Jon Ferguson. Chris Coulter, Business Development, provided an overview of services supporting the Collaborative’s mission to accelerate the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies and deliver technical training for workforce development.
